L’histoire des anc\u00eatres d’Adela\u00efde de Divion<\/a> (sosa 277) rec\u00e8le des \u00e9pisodes \u00e9tonnants.<\/p>\n

Les Divion<\/a> \u00e9taient les barons de Bayenghem les Eperlecques, en Artois. Le nom des Divion s’\u00e9teint en 1765 avec Balthazar, le fr\u00e8re d’Adela\u00efde, dernier Divion baron de Bayenghem.<\/p>\n

Son p\u00e8re, le baron Jacques Charles de Divion<\/a> conna\u00eet une destin\u00e9e remarquable : il fr\u00e9quente le coll\u00e8ge des Quatre-Nations<\/a>, fond\u00e9\u00a0 \u00e0 Paris par Mazarin pour les fils de familles nobles des provinces nouvellement rattach\u00e9es \u00e0 la France.\u00a0 \u00a0Il entame une carri\u00e8re militaire qui le conduit comme prisonnier dans les Provinces-Unies<\/a>. C’est l\u00e0 qu’il \u00e9pouse \u00a0Elisabeth Stuart<\/a>, issue d’une famille de militaires \u00e9cossais au service des Provinces-Unies, avant de revenir \u00e0 Bayenghem.<\/p>\n

Le grand-p\u00e8re de Jacques Charles, Charles Fran\u00e7ois de Divion<\/a>, avait \u00e9pous\u00e9 Isabelle Taets van Amerongen, issue d’une famille de la noblesse flamande. Histoire tragique : Isabelle fait assassiner son mari par son domestique, elle sera d\u00e9capit\u00e9e \u00e0 Anvers en 1682.<\/p>\n

Le p\u00e8re de Charles Fran\u00e7ois avait lui \u00e9pous\u00e9 Ursule Amalberge de Montmorency<\/a>, sa cousine. Les Divion \u00e9taient ainsi doublement alli\u00e9s aux Montmorency Croisilles<\/a>, issus des premiers Montmorency<\/a>, les “premiers barons de France”. Dans cette illustre famille, on trouve par exemple Mathieu de Montmorency dit le grand conn\u00e9table<\/a>, qui avait combattu aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Philippe Auguste.
\nLes Divion \u00e9taient aussi li\u00e9s aux Montmorency Fosseux<\/a>, une autre branche de cette famille.<\/p>\n

Fran\u00e7ois de Divion<\/a> avait \u00e9t\u00e9 le premier Divion \u00e0 s’\u00eatre illustr\u00e9, en 1581, comme d\u00e9fenseur de Tournai assi\u00e9g\u00e9 par les espagnols.<\/p>\n

L’histoire garde aussi la trace de Jeanne de Divion,<\/a> br\u00fbl\u00e9e vive en 1331, convaincue d’avoir fabriqu\u00e9 de faux documents dans l’affaire de la succession d’Artois.<\/p>\n
